In 2017, Last Soul Descendents and Kenton & Hill were nominated by Just Plain Folks for their 2017 Music Awards.  JPF is host to the world’s largest independent music awards and Darren Roberts, Leah Moore and Inertia Justice (Tameka White) were lauded for their innovative approach and fresh production, which resulted in 4 nominations:

Houston Press Nominations – Moments In CMR History (Throwback Edition III)

In 2004, Last Soul Descendents’ producer, Darren Roberts, won The Houston Press Awards best producer award, and LSD was nominated for best Soul/Funk/R&B group. In 2010, Last Soul Descendents was again nominated in the category of Best R&B/Funk/Soul.
